New Features
Availability of space scheduling
The new resource consists of making available a period of time where the space is open for scheduling. This is possible by creating a start and end date where the space will be open to receive bookings, as in restaurants where table reservations can only be made up to a certain period.
The feature can be used for companies that have very busy spaces, in order to prevent employees from making bookings at off-hours.
Block space by appointment
Space blocking is a way to prevent one or more spaces from being scheduled in a certain period of time by scheduling. The feature was created to meet momentary needs with short periods of time where the space needs to be blocked or prevented from being scheduled. In practice, companies use this feature for meeting rooms where they need to clean up after an event, tidy up, or perform environment preparation and maintenance.
A good example is the "Out of Office" scheduling in Google Calendar where you lock your calendar and no one will be able to invite you or occupy your calendar at that time period.
This locking can happen in any type of space and only people with permission can configure the locking rule.
Improvements
Room Display layout update
The Room Display application, designed for monitoring the meeting room, has a new look!
This new design presents a modern and technological layout, following the company's identity.
The update of the Room Display application with the new layout will be automatic, however it may take a while depending on the internet connection availability. If it takes a while, a manager can manually update it by accessing its settings menus.
In addition to the new look, we reformulated some screen behaviors and added new features to optimize the user experience, check them out below:
- New action buttons for scheduling and check-in were added to the home screen and sleep screens.
- Reorganization of priorities
- Added QR Code to all screens making them visible at all time;
- On the sleep screen the information about what's happening now were separated from upcoming appointments to make a better distinction of the following events.
- The Release Access button (used for cleaning for directly unlocking the lock door), and the button for reporting a problem are better positioned and identified.
- New status screen was added for the space availability feature
- Added new "Space Removed" status screen to inform when space is logged in application and systematically removed by settings (web - console)
- New status bar on the top of the screen (card) always indicating the current status.
